Dear Friends and Families of Colonel Walker School
It’s hard to imagine tomorrow is our last day of school for 2024-25! It’s been an exciting week filled with school spirit. Tomorrow is our last day and the theme is “Dress Up.” After our grade 6 assembly (from 11:00 -12:00pm), all students will be dismissed early tomorrow at 12:30pm.
It had been an honor to walk alongside all students and their families on their unique learning journeys this year. We are celebrating their remarkable growth of each one of our students. Thank you for all your work to support students and learning this year. Your support takes many forms, including joining us for events, volunteering time and supporting your child’s development at home. On behalf of the Colonel Walker School team: THANK YOU for your trust in us, for your encouragement, and for the many ways you have shown up for our school community this year.
A few final reminders:
- Please return any library books you may have at home
- Any remaining Lost and Found items will be donated or disposed of by the end of the day tomorrow
- Report cards are available to view today through your MyCBE account (if you would like to, please print a copy for your records before July 25, 2025)
- The office will be open and school staff will be available from 9:00- 11:00am on Friday August 27. After this the school will be closed for the summer break.
- The office will reopen at 10:00am on Wednesday August 27, 2025.
- You can expect a message from your child’s teacher for 2025-26 via School Messenger (with instructions for the first day) by lunchtime on Friday, August 29
We wish all our Colonel Walker students, their families and our friends a peaceful, restful and fun-filled summer break. We look forward to seeing you back at school on Tuesday September 2, 2025.
