Dear Friends and Families of Colonel Walker School,

Students had a fantastic time curling with Rocks and Rings this week at school. Thank you to School Council for making this learning opportunity possible.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Our Spring Learning Conferences will take place on Thursday March 20 from 4:30pm – 8:00pm, and Friday March 21, 8:30am – 1:30pm.  Due to the ongoing CUPE 40 strike, schools have been directed to ensure conferences take place online through Microsoft Teams (a link will be emailed to you when you register).  The Conference Manager will be open for parent bookings on Tuesday March 11 at 4:00pm and will close on Tuesday March 18 at 11:45pm through your MYCBE account.

  • The bookings are 15 minutes long.  Please book with your child’s homeroom teacher only. 
  • Students in grades 4, 5, 6 will book with the Grade 4, 5, 6  team.  This will consist of Ms. Reid, Ms. Langmo and possibly Ms. Drinkwater. 
  • If you have any difficulties booking, please contact Tammy in the office and she will assist you.

Lost and Found

With the warmer weather students may have forgotten they have a lost coat, toque, mitts at the school. 

Normally we would have the lost and found on display for the Parent/Teacher Conferences, but since they are online we have set it up outside the main office today.  If you are dropping off or picking up at the school, or even just driving by please stop by and check it out. 

All items will be donated at Spring Break.

School Council

Thanks to all who attended our February meeting to learning about school planning and share ideas/ask questions. If you’re interested in participating in the annual plant sale, information can be found on the Growing Smiles website.
