A Message From School Council
Colonel Walker School Council met for the first time this year in late September, and have identified opportunities for more engagement. To help streamline communications, we will be preparing a monthly newsletter filled with upcoming events, fundraising opportunities, and updates on special initiatives. Upcoming Clubs
We’re excited to let you know about a few clubs that will be starting up in the coming weeks:
Division 2 Choir (grades 4-6): Look for communication from Ms. Blackman with details in the coming week.
Pride Club (grades 4-6): This student-initiated club starts with an invitation for students to eat lunch together in Room 14 once a week. Any interested students in grades 4, 5 and 6 are welcome to join for our first lunch together on Thursday October 24. Ms. Reid and Ms. Jones are sponsoring this club.
CWS Student Council (Grades 1-6): Representatives from each classroom community will meet together with our school leadership team once a month on a Tuesday at lunch starting November 5.
On Friday October 25 there are no classes for students as teachers engage in professional learning.
We look forward to welcoming students back to school on Monday October 28.
